A large company called Shinra Inc., has found a new source of power. This new source of power is called Mako, and is being drained out of the planet. This Mako is the life energy of the planet, and by draining it Shinra is killing the planet. A resistance organization known as AVALANCHE have recently appeared and they have vowed to put an end to Shinra's destructive practices. The main character of the game Cloud, is an ex-soldier of Shinra, and he teams up with AVALANCHE in their find against Shinra. They encounter many mysterious and powerful people in their journey, but this road eventually leads to stopping Shinra Inc. Filled with mystery, excitement, and love, this is a great story and it really pulls you in right from the start. It's one of those games that you just dont want to stop playing.
