Ruby Weapon | Emerald Weapon
The Emerald Weapon roams around the bottom of the ocean. It first appears once you aquire
the submarine. When you're initially cruisin' around under the ocean, make sure to avoid this
guy at all costs. You will get wasted this early in the game. Materia like Mime, W-Summon,
Final Attack, and Mega all make this battle easier, although it's still a freeking hard fight.
The Emerald weapon has some pretty amazing attacks that can instantly kill any one of your
characters. His regular attack inflicts around 7000 points of damage! He also has small
lasers on his soldier which can inflict between 3000 and 4000 points of damage. He also
has things on his soldiers that drain around 400 MP from a character. You think this is bad?
Guess what, there's more. Emerald Weapon has this little attack that is does with its super
weapon. This attack tends to inflict 9999 points of damage to each character. As far as life
goes, the Emerald Weapon has around 500 000 HP. With this amazing power, quite a few people,
including myself, have called this guy a bastard :)
Make sure you have the Underwater Materia before you battle this guy. This materia will
eliminate the 20 minute time limit. Having your characters levels in the 90's helps, as well
as making sure their HP is over 9000. Make sure you pair W-Summon with Knights of the Round.
This will cause Knights of the Round to be cast at least twice. It will be cast more if it's
at a higher level. Right after this happens, get the character with the Mime Materia to use
that mime ability. They will mimic the Knights of the Round attacks. As with the Ruby Weapon,
make sure you equip as many Final Attack-Revive Materia combinations. This will help you for
when the creature uses its ultimate attack. Having Turbo Ether's also really helps since
the Emerald Weapon likes to drain your MP.
For defeating the Emerald Weapon, you will receive the Earth Harp. If you trade it to the man
at Kalm, you will get some awesome prizes. When you give him the Earth Harp, you will receive
the Master Summon, Master Magic, and Master Command Materia!
