It was back in January of 1999 that I first launched a Final Fantasy website. Final Fantasy 8
Domain was the name that I first gave to the site. The small website used a very simple layout
that consisted of frames. With lacking content and a poor design, I started working on a
revision for the site.
The new revision of the site, Final Fantasy Kingdom, was launched with a more user-friendly
layout on July 1 1999. More content was added and we where picked up by
RPG Planet in October of 1999. One of the
main areas of focus for the site was interactivity. I never liked the sites that just posted
news. Sites with forums and chat rooms are a lot more fun to visit. Final Fantasy Kingdom
continued to grow through out the release of Final Fantasy VIII in North America. Take a trip
down memory lane to Final Fantasy Kingdom.
Final Fantasy Kingdom never had the content that I wanted it to. The sections quickly became
badly outdated and the site needed a big over haul. In February 2000 I started working on the
site you see now, Final Fantasy Legacy.
Final Fantasy Legacy was going to have in-depth coverage on every game in the Final Fantasy
series. That's the dream I had for the site. To this day, the sections are still growing. I
don't think you can ever have too much coverage on a Final Fantasy game.
Production of Final Fantasy Legacy was very slow and hard. Being the only staff member of the
site really took its toll. School really slowed down the production as well. Finally after
hundreds of hours of work, Final Fantasy Legacy was finally opened on December 6, 2000.
